Chapter 1 - Salvation from our sins

This chapter describes how we have the redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Messiah/King) the LORD.

In Mathew chapter 1 verse 20 and 21 the angel says to Joseph, son of David: "fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins". With these verses we understand that Jesus, in hebrew means "Savior", would save his people from their sins. And this was accomplished at the cross when he died for all of us.

At the cross in John chapter 19 verse 30 Jesus says after receiving the vinegar: "It is finished". That means that he had done everything according to the Law what was written about him. Jesus came to fulfill the Law and he has done that.

Now that he had accomplished what was written about Him, he then makes a New Covenant with us, in His blood and in this Covenant, that we share in, by the Faith, we have an only one new commandment, which is not a commandment nor a law or a rule. It is a new way of the spirit - we are going to speak about it in another chapter ahead.

Once Jesus had died for all the people then he saved them all from their sins. The idea here is to believe in what Jesus had done at the cross by forgiving us all our sins and that is written in Galatians chapter 1 verse 4: "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father" and also the sins of the whole world once and for all, which we can grasp from this verse in Galatians chapter 6, 14: "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world." With this we understand that the same sacrifice that saved us (those who believed) saves the whole world too.

It means that if we believe in that what John the baptist said, in the book of John chapter 1 verse 29: "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." we understand that what John said is true and because of one sacrifice, He took the sin of the entire world away, meaning all generations and this includes those that are still to come.

So. This is the Salvation that is brought to us by Jesus when he delivers himself for the sins of the world at the cross and by believing in His Name Jesus we have this assurance of faith that we have no sins anymore. Thanks to Jesus. Amen!
